Turn
Me On Webman
It's said that if you remember the sixties you
weren't there. We don't necessarily agree with that. Although we
were just kids, we remember the music, the black light posters,
the strange odors wafting from Head Shoppes on Hollywood Blvd. This
was the content of our youth - the same content translates over
the Internet today. The challenge of today's artist is managing
their personnae over different platforms. In the not so distant
past, you were only as good as your last movie, recording, book,
etc. The web allows one great thing - immediacy. You're always in
the spotlight, always making content available - content that is
filtered through you or your management - so you're always visible
and on the cutting edge, instead of the cutting room floor.

Allan
Murray's Burlesque*O*Rama
We love working with young talent - we also love working
with comedian Allan Murray (insert rim shot). Allan is an engaging,
hysterical performer that produces a slick, 'rat-pack' style Burlesque
show. He came to us for help with online promotions. Not only did we
design a website that had flashing neon art, a big-band streaming rendition
of 'The Stripper', but we partnered Allan with Sam Rubin (see below),
the leading entertainment journalist in Los Angeles and Chicago. Sam
worked in lockstep with us to promote Allan's show at the Platinum Live
club - selling out the first night. Allan is soon to be a major star,
and we fully expect not having our phone calls returned any day now.
Keith Emerson's
Close
to Home
An artist of Keith's stature required an Internet site that was definitely
on the edge. Close to Home was exactly that. Five years ago we debuted
a site that included roll-over piano keys, interactive synth drums (remember
Toccata from Brain Salad Surgery?), had a 24/7 online night club called
Club Emo, along with animated imaging that supported Keith's solo compositions.
Unusual for that time, we also created a virtual keyboard that had labels
from all the manufacturers that Keith endorsed, linked to their sites.
The site was aggressively marketed not only to his international fan
base, but also to fans of progressive rock that might not have been
in Keith's demographic. Needless to say, the site received heavy and
steady traffic. Hits were tracked from Niger to Botswana, from Dublin
to Tel Aviv. The site blew several minds, most notably Keith's management.
We continue to work with Keith and have major plans for new online content.
We have a great interview with Keith online. Click!

Sam
Rubin - SamTV.tv
For years we woke up to Sam every morning to watch and listen to his
unique style of entertainment journalism - heads above the banality
that we all have endured. When Sam got his own FM talk show on KLSX
97.1 in Los Angeles, he bridged showbiz to events that affected us all,
especially post 9/11. There was more to Sam than met the ear and eye.
Sam was open to our approach to re-purpose his existing website. Now,
Sam was able to interact with his audience in real-time, and enjoy the
benefits of an expanding online community. We partnered Sam's site with
Yahoo Groups, and almost immediately, there were 400+ regulars that
interact and discuss topics that echoed Sam's shows. Being shoddy hucksters,
we recommended that Sam entertain online advertising - and once Sam
gave the nod, we populated his site with some revenue models. Sam gave
us a great testimonial,
and for that we are forever grateful. Sam's the bomb, his peripatetic
search for the truth equals that of his search for ratings: and he's
got 'em!
